You know what, I don't even know why I enjoyed this so much.
To say the pacing is slow is an understatement. The story progresses at glacial speed.
It takes more or less half of the novel to reach the Everest.
Equipment and preparations are described in detailed detail.
And still. The characters, the writing, everything about this kept me captivated.
Only the end, the solution to the riddle was disyppointing (to me).
