Welp.
Maybe I expected too much?
I loved the premise so very much and ... well.
The writing is pretty okay, but there were may too many story lines (Avalon, Peter, the Captain, Ulfgar ...), and too many stayed unfinished. What was up with Ulfgar? And the Captian? There just was no real plot, somehow.
And man, the characters!I exprected a delightfully ambiguous or maybe evil Peter and got ... well, dunno. The parts about his history was interesting enough, but still. Neither he nor any of the other characters came alive for me. The villains were cardboard villains and likeable characters? Hm. I liked the three little girls, and Goll.
But I didn't really care about any of the others. Kids were dying left and right and I didn't give a fuck, flying or otherwise.
Meh.
